Workshop #1: Search Engines: enrich your language lessons with Internet sites and interactive activities. Levels K-12.*
You will learn how to use the Internet as a starting point to provide your students with interesting interactive lessons which infuse technology at all levels. Have students book plane and train tickets, make reservations for hotels or restaurants, watch the news or special programs. You will learn how to design lessons for different levels of Spanish that are aligned with the standards and your curriculum. You will learn the basics to build authentic lessons and have the students reach authentic goals.
Workshop #2: How to engage your students and keep them coming back for more! Levels K-12.*
Are you tired of the same old activities and routine in your classes? Do you need to learn some new ways to connect with your students? Come and learn different activities to reinforce, review or just practice vocabulary, grammar, verbs and more while engaging your students as you assess and check for comprehension. The different activities can be adjusted to fit any subject on any level. All learning activities can be used the next day. Students will be eager to be part of the fun, while mastering the skills in a foreign language. The activities range from individual to group/team activities. A booklet of templates will be given to all participants and group participation is encouraged.
*Workshops will be conducted "round-robin".
